Illinois, Missouri,
Nebraska northward. A small to medium size side-notched point with an
auriculate base that is concave. Notching occurs close to the base and the
shoulders are barbed. Bases are ground. -

Benton Co in northwest TENNESSEE.
Dark with river staining. Old tip damage.
Southern states. A medium to large size,
broad, well barbed, stemmed point. Some examples appear to be basal notched.
The blade is straight to convex. The stem is straight to expanding or
contracting. On some samples, the barbs almost reach the base and are
rounded to pointed. Has been found with Motley points in caches. -
